Land Rover online store
Website design for Land Rover online store selling branded merchandise such as clothing, books and accessories. This project was designed in conjunction with a website for Land Rover’s sister company Jaguar. You can see the Land Rover store here and a profile of the Jaguar store here.
I designed the two sites whilst working at London digital agency Keytree. Our team included myself as the sole graphic designer, a UX designer, two project managers, multiple developers, and a representative from JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) who joined us in-house for the duration of the project.
JLR did not have a dedicated online space where they could sell branded merchandise, so we started with a clean slate. The two sites had identical structures and backends, we simply re-skinned them for the two brands. I designed every screen of the website for desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Additionally I designed promotional banners and pop-ups, as well as a suite of email templates.
Working on such a large, intricate project was bound to present challenges. These included being a guest user versus a registered user, delivery options, gift options, creating an account, and also the technical limitations that are involved when you are aggregating such a large range of items for sale. I worked closely with the whole team to overcome all of these obstacles.
This was the first large e-commerce project I was involved in, and I gained invaluable experience and insights working with the Keytree staff, in particular their UX designer. After returning to Australia I continued to freelance for them. You can see another Land Rover project I designed for Keytree here.
